As a registered Canadian non-profit organization, Community Care is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors, each of whom contribute their knowledge, experience and skills to strengthen, sustain and advance the Mission and Vision of CCCKL.
The Board operates in accordance with the agency’s bylaws. Board meetings are held bi-monthly and as needed.
Serving in a governing role, under the leadership of Board Chair Michael Anderson, the Board establishes policy consistent with the organization’s values and vision. Standing committees work on behalf of the Board and include Executive/Governance, Quality Management and the Building Committee. Most committees are comprised of board and staff members, and may include other volunteers from the community who enrich our work through their own expertise and experience.
Additionally, two members of the CCCKL Board are cross-appointed to the Board of the Community Care Foundation (Kawartha Lakes).

Michael Anderson
Chair
An experienced association CEO, Michael successfully led three national non-profits over 28 years. He served 18 years as President & CEO of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, consistently delivering substantial value to members and stakeholders. He is a Principal Consultant at Trecker International LLC and is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives and the Australasian Society of Association Executives. He brings considerable experience in board governance, developing new business models for non-profits and strategic planning. He and his wife live in Bobcaygeon.
Linda Coles
Treasurer
Linda is putting her professional background and medical training in action to guide and support CCCKL. Linda joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a medical assistant after high school. After postings in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Germany, she earned a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration and worked in hospitals as an administrator in New Brunswick, Manitoba and British Columbia. She also holds a certificate in Long Term Care. Retiring in 2011, she returned to Ontario and has been actively volunteering with Community Care and is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Linda shares: “My parents instilled in all of us to give back to the community, both by volunteering and financially.” Linda enjoys golfing and getting out for exercise with her dogs as much as possible.
Kerry Clifford
Kerry is an internationally-experienced healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience in medical planning, healthcare interiors, project planning and construction administration. Kerry has lead projects and consultation teams throughout Canada, USA and Southeast Asia. Her expertise is being put to good use as Community Care works towards development of a future new facility in Lindsay. “I enjoy the close connection to the community by working with Community Care, and the opportunity to support CCCKL with my experience in the design and planning of health care facilities. I enjoy learning about the delivery of care at the community level.” Kerry enjoys family time, music and expanding her culinary horizons when time permits
Cathy Burke
Cathy has more than 22 years of health care experience, serving as a Registered Nurse in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Senegal, West Africa. She retains her passion for health care and is very pleased to be a Board Member with Community Care. Cathy is part-owner and Chief Financial Officer of a local design/build/remodel firm. Other community involvement includes the United Way and 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes. She enjoys travel, photography, gardening, canoeing and cottaging near Kinmount. She and her husband live near Reaboro.
Diane Cairns
After a 32-year career with IBM Canada, Diane retired in 2012. She spent many years in finance and human resources. She has led teams to redesign many of the company programs and policies. Her portfolio also focused on privacy, corporate restructuring and diversity. Prior to retirement, she was responsible for the investigation and resolution of employee conduct, which involved representing IBM in mediations and legal cases. One of her highlights was creating, developing and managing an annual week-long camp for young girls that exposed them to technology and provided them with female mentors. She ran this program for nine years beginning in 2001, and it is still run at IBM to this day. Diane’s volunteer activities have included both palliative care and bereavement support with Community Care’s Hospice Services. She has also helped organize Handbags for Hospice and the Care Gala. She is the Community Care Foundation Board Chair and co-chair of the Fenelon Falls Santa Day Donation team. Through these long-term commitments, she has helped raise thousands of dollars toward helping local charities. Diane has participated in many of the agency’s programs, including SAGES exercises, walking programs and blood pressure clinics. Married for more than 40 years, Diane and her husband have three children and four grandchildren. When not volunteering, she enjoys travel, reading, knitting and sewing.
Julie Johnson
Born and raised in Lindsay, Julie joined the Community Care Board in 2016. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto, then returned to Lindsay to join her father’s dental practice. She and her husband, also from Lindsay, have two grown children. Her involvement in local events and organizations centres around dental health care and the activities of her children. Julie is a past-chair of CCCKL’s Quality Management Committee where her expertise in health care quality and safety enhances CCCKL’s programs and services.
Anne Overhoff
Anne has 33 years of healthcare experience. She held a number of managerial positions with the Brant Community Healthcare System before relocating to the City of Kawartha Lakes to become Director of Critical Care and Medicine at Ross Memorial Hospital. She is now Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at RMH. She received her BSc in Nursing at McMaster University and a Master’s in Health Science Administration from the University of Toronto. Anne is a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Anne and her husband live in Kinmount. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Pat Ryan
Pat and his family have lived in Lindsay for more than 30 years. He brings prior healthcare-related board experience to Community Care, as he served on the board of the Alzheimer Society for many years. He also brings substantial experience and education in leadership and risk management, through his 35-year career in Property and Casualty insurance, with many years in senior management/executive roles.
Patti Siegel
Patti serves on both the Community Care Board and the Community Care Foundation Board. She has served on the executives of a number of local not-for-profit organizations, including the Ross Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes, and the Lady Hughes Chapter of the IODE. Prior to moving to Lindsay, to take a position as Professor at Fleming College, Patti worked as a Research Associate with the Health Care Research Units at Western University and the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Women’s PROBUS Club of Lindsay and Lindsay Golf Club. She enjoys gardening, golf, her book club and walking her dog Ben, a rescue from the local humane society.
Brad Sinclair
Vice Chair
Brad joined the Community Care Board of Directors in 2016 and is the immediate Past Chair of the Community Care Foundation Board. He has lived in the City of Kawartha Lakes since 2013, after more than 20 years in Aurora. In addition to providing leadership as a Board Director, Brad and his wife also volunteer for CCCKL’s Meals on Wheels program to deliver meals to clients in the City of Kawartha Lakes. He has participated in strategy development and effective governance planning. For many years Brad owned and operated a management consulting business and has provided Executive leadership and strategic advice to a number of Ontario healthcare organizations. As a CCCKL Board Director, Brad has contributed his expertise to numerous strategic initiatives. He and his wife live in Mariposa Township just outside of Seagrave. He enjoys motorcycling, cross-country skiing, playing guitar and cottaging in the Haliburton Highlands.
Natasha Vemb
Chair, Quality Management Committee
Natasha grew up in Fenelon Falls and moved back to the Kawartha’s in 2019 with her husband to establish their young family in Little Britain after some time in the GTA. She has over ten years of experience in healthcare leadership positions, with a focus on strategic projects and quality improvement in community delivery models. Natasha is currently the Director for Performance and Accountability at the Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Public Policy and Administration from Ryerson University. She is currently pursuing her Certified Healthcare Executive designation through the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
